Position Details
- Job Title: .NET Developer
- Location: Tallahassee FL 100 on-site no remote work)
- Duration: August 1 2025 December 31 2026
- Interview: No face-to-face; likely virtual.
Project Background
- Florida PALM Project: Multi-year initiative to replace the states legacy accounting systems (FLAIR) with a modern financial management solution (go-live: Jan 2026.
- Scope: Remediate 1500 financial computing assets (interfaces apps databases) impacted by the transition to PALMs standardized processes and chart of accounts.
- Focus: Update financial .NET web applications document specifications and ensure compatibility with PALM.
Requirements
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree in CS IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8 years overall development experience including:
- 5 years as a lead developer.
- Core tech stack: C#/.NET WCF/WebAPI SQL Server JavaScript (Angular/Knockout) REST XML/JSON.
- Preferred: Experience with financial systems (ERP) legacy tech (DB2/COBOL) or accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Development & Remediation:
- Lead updates to financial .NET web apps ensuring alignment with PALM standards.
- Perform full lifecycle development (design code test deploy).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues (service desk tickets root cause analysis).
- Analysis & Documentation:
- Research and document business processes/technical assets.
- Translate user requirements into solutions.
- Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams (including Agile/Scrum).
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Skills (KSAs)
- Technical:
- Cloud architecture (Azure PaaS/IaaS) RDBMS (SQL Server/DB2 OOP design patterns.
- Bonus: Python legacy mainframe knowledge.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication problem-solving and leadership.
- Ability to work in fast-paced deadline-driven environments.
