Job Description
Restoration and Reconstruction company is looking for an experienced Operations/General Manager to join their team in Reno NV.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager/General Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of their water damage restoration and reconstruction company. This role is responsible for managing field and office teams ensuring quality control maintaining compliance optimizing workflows and driving profitability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in disaster restoration reconstruction team leadership and business operations.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager/General Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of their water damage restoration and reconstruction company. This role is responsible for managing field and office teams ensuring quality control maintaining compliance optimizing workflows and driving profitability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in disaster restoration reconstruction team leadership and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Management
- Oversee all water mitigation mold remediation fire damage and reconstruction projects from start to completion
- Manage project timelines budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure all jobs meet industry standards (IICRC OSHA) and company protocols
- Monitor job profitability and ensure cost control measures are in place
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics of field technicians subcontractors and project managers
- Lead mentor and develop a team of technicians supervisors estimators and office staff
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training as needed
- Foster a culture of accountability safety and customer service excellence
- Act as the primary point of contact for large or complex projects
- Resolve escalated customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters third-party administrators (TPAs) and clients to ensure smooth project execution and payment
- Support and oversee sales and marketing efforts to drive growth
- Build and maintain relationships with property managers insurance agents and other referral sources
- Ensure jobs are properly documented with moisture logs photos and scope notes
- Ensure compliance with state/local regulations and licensing requirements
- Maintain and audit company software (e.g. Xactimate DASH PSA Encircle etc.)
Requirements
- 5 years in operations or general management in the restoration or construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of water mitigation mold remediation and residential/light commercial reconstruction
- Strong understanding of Xactimate estimating and insurance billing processes
- IICRC certification(s) preferred: WRT ASD AMRT
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication organization and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with project management software CRMs and job costing
- Valid driver s license and clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $120000 to $150000 DOE
- Performance-based bonuses
