Job Description: Medical Physicist
Salary: $174000 - $254000 annually
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in medical physics within a clinical environment ensuring optimal application of therapy physics.
- Conduct quality assurance procedures and performance evaluations on radiological equipment.
- Collaborate with clinical teams for patient treatment planning and delivery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in medical technologies and treatments.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and interns in the field of medical physics.
- Perform regular assessments and audits of equipment and treatment processes.
- Document and report findings in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with national and local safety regulations.
- Work with stakeholders to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master s degree from an accredited institution in medical physics or a related field.
- ABR/CCPM Board certification or Board eligible in therapy physics.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Maximum of 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable.
Skills:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional evening or weekend hours.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality assurance in medical physics practices.
