Job Title: Mother Teacher
Overview
The role of a Mother Teacher is vital in shaping the early education experience of children within an educational institution. Acting as both educator and caregiver the Mother Teacher fosters a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally socially and academically. This integral position focuses on holistic development and lays the foundation for lifelong learning. By fostering a sense of belonging and security the Mother Teacher plays an essential role not only in teaching a structured curriculum but also in guiding children through their early formative years. The Mother Teacher plays a significant role in collaborating with parents and the community to ensure a well-rounded upbringing for each student. This position requires balancing educational responsibilities with emotional support while promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect for diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curricula.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Facilitate daily activities that promote emotional social and cognitive development.
- Observe and assess childrens progress and areas for improvement.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their childs development and behavior.
- Encourage curiosity and a love for learning through interactive play.
- Manage classroom behavior and resolve conflicts among students.
- Organize and participate in school events activities and projects.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall school objectives.
- Integrate technology and resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Administer first aid and maintain health and safety protocols.
- Support children with special needs by providing individualized attention.
- Encourage parental involvement in the learning process.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Certification in early childhood education (preferred).
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood education.
- Understanding of child development principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans.
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations in a childcare setting.
- Skills in conflict resolution and behavior management.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and educational software.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- Patience and a nurturing attitude towards children.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the classroom.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
