Roles and Responsibilities of Medical Representative (MR)
Sales & Business Development
Drive sales by meeting customers distributors stockists chemists and hospital purchase departments.
Manage company stock with sub-distributors stockists and chemists ensuring smooth deliveries to hospitals distributors and retailers.
Generate and submit monthly stock reports to the company.
Market Awareness & Brand Promotion
Conduct awareness campaigns and market surveys for companys product range.
Establish and expand the distribution network.
Conduct market research to analyze customer needs and assess the creditworthiness of clients.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with sub-distributors doctors (especially Ortho & Gynec specialists) and hospital staff including paramedical and purchase teams.
Sales & Performance Targets
Achieve company-set sales targets and goals on a priority basis.
Prepare and submit monthly sales reports.
Marketing & Promotional Activities
Lead marketing research efforts and test marketing for new product launches.
Organize healthcare events such as CMEs educational camps conferences congresses and new product launches.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
Team Management & Training
Interview hire and train subordinates as required.
Project & Budget Management
Plan and manage budgets for client projects contracts marketing promotions and product launches to maximize company earnings.
Develop action plans and provide expertise to meet client needs while supporting the project team.
Determine merchandise and services to be sold and implement pricing and credit policies.
Billing & Payment Collection
Manage billing processes for hospitals distributors and customers.
Follow up on payment collections and ensure timely recovery.
Submit monthly collection reports.
Stock & Compliance Management
Monitor product expiry dates and inform the company six months in advance.
Maintain records of stock payments received and outstanding amounts.
Actively participate in audits.
Reporting & Communication
Share all relevant market and operational information with the company promptly via mobile (WhatsApp/SMS/Phone) or email.
Adhere to company policies and submit all required reports (Sales Product Usage Expense Reports) in the specified format and on designated dates.
Additional Responsibilities
Carry out any other tasks or assignments as directed by the company.
Requirements
Strong connections with Ortho & Gynec doctors and distributors.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in selling Pharma/Nutra products to Ortho/Gynae doctors.
