Job Description

Do you have experience with data protection and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) We are now looking for an inhouse legal counsel for a permanent position in our Nordic Privacy and Confidentiality Team that is a part of our Quality Risk & Security department (QRS). You will be located at our offices in Stockholm Sweden. 

QRS provides quality risk and security related internal services across the firm and ensures that we comply with internal requirements as well as with external laws and regulations. The team promotes Deloitte risk-intelligent culture and helps our professionals to navigate the evermore complex risk landscape.

You will be a member of our Nordic Privacy and Confidentiality Team that provide legal advice and services to our Nordic business.

You will work closely with our partners and other professionals to help them in a variety of privacy confidentiality and security related matters to ensure that Deloitte Nordic meets regulatory requirements and policies in relation to data protection. Most typically you will provide legal expertise within data protection compliance as:

  • counselling the business within privacy compliance  matters and related data management issues including AI regulation
  • conduct various risk assessment of processes new IT solutions data processors
  • elaboration our privacy notices guidelines and procedures to the business
  • drafting and assisting the business with negotiation of data processing agreements consent and other privacy terms
  • assisting with internal audit related to privacy and confidentiality matters
  • conduct awareness and training activities
  • take part in our collaboration with Deloitte NSE (North South Europe) as part of Deloittes integration work

In this role you will work with our colleagues from different business units and enabling function based not only in Sweden but also in the Nordic countries and globally. Thus you should be prepared to provide your services across the Nordic countries being part of a global organization.


Qualifications :

Do you enjoy working with people and feel passionate about the everchanging landscape of data protection. In case you answered yes this position might be for you. We expect you to have:

  • Masters degree in law LL.M or relevant university degree related to data protection
  • Preferably at least 2 to 4 years of relevant pre- or post-qualification hands-on experience in relation to GDPR
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English both written and oral.
  • Experience in an international environment and certificates and further training on data protection such as CIPPE/CIPM or DPO training are considered as advantages.
  • Strong analytic and interpersonal skills
  • Independent organized way of working
  • Commercial mindset to problem-solving
