Job Title: -- Cloud Architect
Job Summary: --This position will be responsible for designing implementing and managing Azure cloud-based systems and applications. This role involves strategizing cloud adoption plans overseeing cloud application design and ensuring the security and scalability of our Azure infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --
Include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
- Design and Architecture: Develop secure scalable and fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
- Implementation: Deploy and debug cloud resources throughout the development lifecycle.
- Security: Assist with the implementation of Azure security controls and policies to compliance with industry standards.
- Cost Management: Estimate costs and identify cost control mechanisms for Azure resources.
- Migration: Migrate complex multi-tier applications to Azure.
- Integration: Integrate Azure services with on-premises networks as required.
- Monitoring: Implement monitoring and reporting solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Collaboration: Provide architectural assistance to other IT personnel and vendors including software developers and systems engineers.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science business or related field OR equivalent experience and training.
- Five (5) or more years of technology management experience and/or Security & Compliance in complex IT environments.
- High-level and working knowledge of technology infrastructure and servers with progressive management expertise to effectively support and maintain an enterprise environment.
- Remediation of Security & Compliance issues including CVEs security alerts from monitored systems and compliance with SOPs.
- EDR monitoring deployment and support.
- Experience with MFA SSO and other security identity tools such as Entra.
- Familiarity with CMMC NIST ISO 27001 and similar standards.
- Strong understanding of information security and privacy standards.
- Understanding of Incident Response processes.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and cultivate a dynamic and progressive and innovative technology environment.
- Strong leadership and proactive communication abilities to manage the team and performance levels within the department to maintain excellent service and standards.
- Skilled in conceptualizing analyzing developing and implementing creative solutions to enhance productivity efficiency and effectiveness of operations systems and procedures.

Work Scope
The Cloud Architect will operate independently and exercise advanced discretion and judgement with both macro and micro level responsibilities. This is a hands-on role that includes oversite investigation and resolution of end user security questions and issues customer service infrastructure management including security and recovery strategies and strategic planning. The work scope will require the Cloud Architect to be involved in internal service management including coordination between EMCOR IT outsourced IT Security & Compliance and internal clients. The Cloud Architect is responsible for managing and keeping confidential highly sensitive information.
Qualifications:--
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years of experience in cloud architecture with a focus on Azure.
- 5 years of experience around a large enterprise organization (Either as a full-time employee or consultant).
- Proficiency in Azure services and cloud computing technologies.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps/DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong powerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure cloud networking and application architecture.
- Strong grasp of cloud security and configuration management principles.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies (Terraform Bicep etc.).
- Knowledge of secure configuration management techniques and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in leading the design and deployment of enterprise-scale Azure solutions.
- Familiarity with other public cloud providers such as AWS and GCP. (Specifically in regard to migrating into an Azure environment.)
- Up-to-date knowledge of Azure updates and improvements.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
Accountability and Measurement
- Partner with Executive Management to implement new processes and ensure a secure productive up-time working environment.

Compensation Range: $121000 - $165000
This position is bonus eligible.
