Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized scalable and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
About the Team
Join our dynamic team as we embark on a mission to unify and enhance SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings revolutionizing the end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly formed Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit a pivotal part of SAP Product Engineering is entrusted with overseeing SAPs Sovereign Cloud portfolio. Our mission is to collaborate seamlessly with all board areas fostering harmonization scalability and transparency in our offerings.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the recently established Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization.
Role Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer youll play a crucial role in our teams mission which includes:
New Engineering Development (Research and Development): Innovate and pioneer new solutions.
Upkeep and Maintenance (Refactoring): Optimize and enhance existing systems.
Problem Solving (Support): Troubleshoot and provide solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will collaborate closely with product and tool owners program managers developers security experts architects and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Your tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration providing you with hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks.
Qualifications:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- University degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of senior technical professional experience
- Seniority in project management handling deliverables status and updates to stakeholders.
- Experience managing site infrastructure costs scaling and availability.
- Strong understanding of network design
- Managing Operational demand requirements
- Experience with at least 2 public cloud provider (AWS GCP Azure) SDK development.
- Architecture design experience in scalable and alternate solutions
- Experience with formal documentation and diagrams capturing requirements and deliverables.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and other Container technologies.
- Ability to breakdown and present solutions to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with SAP Product Offerings includingexperience in SAP Technologies SAP Runtime platforms and SAP Integrations.
- Persistence self-motivation and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- 8 years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery-related fields and technologies.
- 6 years of automation experience.
- Experience with implementing migrating administering and operating SAP Technologies Applications and Databases in Cloud environment.
- Experience with SAP Lifecycle Management processes and tools.
- Experience in designing of scalable and highly available SAP systems in Cloud.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 220200 - 374200(USD) actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skillsexperience scope ofthe role location etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
