The Role:
As our Client Finance Manager you are the financial backbone of our client projects. You will be a trusted partner to our internal teams ensuring complete financial clarity and control from the moment a project is conceived to its final invoice. With a meticulous eye for detail you will establish the foundation for project success creating accurate budgets and acting as an early warning system to protect our profitability.
In this critical role you will work seamlessly with our Account Project Management and Finance departments to safeguard the financial health of every project we undertake. What Youll Do:
Project Setup & Budget Management: Take charge of the initial financial setup for all projects including creating job codes defining project phases applying correct rate cards and ensuring project budgets are accurately tracked from day one.
Scope vs. Burn Analysis: Conduct weekly monitoring of project scope versus actual burn and team utilization. You will identify and flag significant variances to project leaders to enable swift and effective course correction.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and distribute monthly reports on burn utilization and account-level profitability to agency leadership providing clear analysis and key insights into our financial performance.
Revenue Recognition & Billing: Manage the monthly revenue recognition process and maintain Work in Progress (WIP) schedules. You will be responsible for delivering clean accurate billing schedules to the Controller to ensure timely and precise invoicing.
Contract & Margin Support: Maintain a centralized repository for all client contracts (SOWs MSAs COs) and support our growth teams by modeling costs and margins for new business proposals and renewals.
What Youll Bring:
Proven experience in a financial role within a professional services advertising agency or project-based environment
An exceptional eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy
Strong understanding of project financials including budgeting revenue recognition and profitability analysis
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with non-financial team members
A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to identify potential issues before they become problems
- Experience with project management or financial software is highly preferred

Build & deploy standardized budget templates and rate cards in our PM system
Create a weekly scope-vs-burn dashboard with auto-alerts for >5 % variance
Reconcile open WIP and deliver the first no-adjustment billing cycle
Maintain < 2% budget variance across all active jobs
Achieve 100% on-time revenue recognition & invoicing
Deliver monthly margin insights that help boost agency delivery margin by 3 pts
Establish a fully searchable SOW/MSA/CO repository with zero gaps

Perks Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $90000 - 95000 USD. This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale for this position and any potential offers will ultimately be determined based on experience education skill set and performance in the interview process.
