Job Description
Job Role: Senior OHS&E Manager
Location: Chennai
Experience: 6 years
Education: Diploma in Safety Engineering/ B.E/ in Fire and Safety/ M.E/ in Industrial Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and improve OHS&E policies and management systems as per ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensure full compliance with local national and international HSE laws and regulations. Act as the key liaison with regulatory bodies clients and external auditors on HSE matters.
- Lead and manage the HSE team including officers coordinators and site safety personnel.
- Provide mentoring training and performance evaluations for the HSE team to build capability.
- Oversee hazard identification risk assessments (HIRAC JSA) and implementation of control measures.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop and deliver safety training programs and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct site inspections audits compliance checks and prepare detailed HSE performance reports with KPIs. Support projects in pre-construction planning design reviews contractor vetting and ensure HSE integration throughout the project lifecycle.
