What youll do at OhioMHAS:
We are hiring for Social Worker 1 position within the social work department a Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare. This position is a part-time temporary position (ETA) to start but could lead to something more.
Under general supervision a social worker 1 performs as a member of the team developing and implementing treatment plans for patient care through discharge.
The Job Opportunity and Duties:
What you will do:
- Coordinates assessment evaluation and social service needs for patients and their individual service plan or treatment plan throughout their care cycle.
- Performs overall case management & crisis intervention.
- Develops client treatment plans & ensures compliance with applicable standards agency policies &administrative regulations & institutional rules
- Monitors clients progress in treatment; maintains clinical case records documentation and case files
- Refers clients to community programs and resources.
- Participates as part of treatment team (planning meetings case presentation and discussions and provides services in accordance with principles of a therapeutic community)
- Completes & maintains accurate and timely documentation and reports
- Maintains knowledge and adherence to compliance requirements for Joint Commission OMHAS and COBH.
- Attends staff meetings trainings and conferences as required
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with other facilities agencies and support services.
- Plans and implements continuity of care from hospital to community through collaboration.
This is anhourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) with a pay range of#10on theOhio Health Care SEIU/1199Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday mostly daytime hours with an occasional position is located within Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcareat 2200 West Broad Street Columbus Ohio 43223.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Requires current license as social worker (i.e. LSW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.28. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10 2014 is exempt from current licensure as social worker (i.e. LSW) requirement.
