Job Description
The Student Learning Specialist 12-month full-time Administrative Professional position. The Student Learning Specialist reports to the Program Director for the Master of Science (MS) Programs. The Student Learning Specialist plays a supportive role in strengthening the Universitys efforts to provide quality advising and promote the success of graduate students who are at-risk academically during participation of the MS Program. This position supports an innovative and holistic approach to providing students with the assistance guidance and resources necessary to be successful. The primary functions of the Student Learning Specialist are to assist the Director in providing Academic Support to MS Students who are struggling academically. The Student Learning Specialists duties include: assisting in advising students connecting students to faculty maintaining student records interacting with faculty members providing study skills partnering with campus offices in students first semester at the University and assisting the Director in the daily operations of the Academic Support Program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree; *two (2) or more years experience in academic success; * ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively to a variety of constituents.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree *experience advising college students. *experience working with college students
