About the role
Our team of Service Development Librarians provide professional support to libraries and are responsible for innovation; identifying implementing and delivering service developments for children teenagers and adults. Key responsibilities are:
- To plan develop and deliver a programme of events and activities to support service objectives
- To initiate funding bids and develop income generating schemes and services
- To develop and maintain appropriate partnerships both within Barnet and beyond to meet service objectives
- To plan select maintain and promote stock for all categories of library (Core Core Plus and Partnership)
- To promote library services including via social media and e-newsletters.

About you
You will have:
- Experience of supporting developing and implementing library services for children teenagers and adults
- Experience of developing and maintaining library resources including print and digital
- Experience of establishing and maintaining effective partnership working across a wide geographical area
- Experience of using social media as a promotional tool and to disseminate information
- Experience of dealing with and resolving a range of issues in a timely manner.
