An exciting opportunity has arisenfor an individual to join the Business and Finance teamat Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working 37.5 hours per week at our Leyland facility.
What youll be doing
As an Accounts Administrator you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Youll be responsible for maintaining and reconciling both sales and purchase ledger accounts administering payroll functions and supporting the wider Finance Department. Your work will involve processing invoices payments and receipts keeping financial records up to date and managing account and bank reconciliations. Youll also monitor KPIs such as match rates and retrospective purchase orders while ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
You will prepare and reconcile financial information across various areas including recyclates offtake income and payroll data. This includes generating accurate invoices reconciling supplier statements maintaining master data and managing financial trackers for budget holders and projects. Supporting budget planning and performance analysis will be an important part of your role as you contribute to monthly reporting forecasting for cost centres and assist with month-end close procedures.
Your role will also involve maintaining regulatory compliance managing financial documentation to audit standards and contributing to process improvements by identifying ways to streamline financial systems and reduce manual workload. Strong communication will be key as you liaise with both internal teams and external suppliers to resolve invoice queries and aged balances ensuring smooth and effective financial operations across the board.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position it is essential that you hold AAT Level 2 and are currently studying towards or already hold AAT Level 3.

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste andour people are vital in helping us achieve this.
