Instructor Support Specialist (Hourly)Job Description Summary:
To provide temporary safety assistance as needed with instruction and develop criminal justice curriculum as directed by the CJ Department Chair.Job Description:
Provide specialist support for safety and oversight as needed and especially during physical contact and firearms training. Curriculum development to support the Austin Community College Criminal Justice (CJ) Peace Officer Certificate Program. This work aligns with the licensing requirements established by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) which mandate the integration of specific learning objectives into the seven foundational academic courses.
Develop a comprehensive suite of instructional materialsincluding study guides quizzes and assessmentsspecifically tailored to support student readiness for TCOLE standards. These materials will be made available to all CJ faculty teaching the foundational courses and are adaptable for both in-person and online instructional delivery.
Educational Requirement
Must possess at minimum a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Preference is a Masters degree in Criminal Justice.
Pay Rate
$40.00 per hour up to 19 hours per week
Hourly positions are not benefit eligible
