The Direct Support Professional (DSP) position is an entry level position at Welcome House Inc. The starting pay for the DSPposition is$10.00per hour.
What is a Direct Support Professional
Direct Support Professionals are caring individuals who work directly with people with physical disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities with the aim of assisting the individual to become integrated into his/her community or the least restrictive environment.
What will you do as a DSP
- You will go on outings such as bowling out to eat to the movies city events holiday parties and much more!)
- You will assist with hygiene (brushing teeth bathing toileting hand washing etc)
- You will promote independence
- You will be a companion and friend
- Plus much more!

- You must be at least 18 (21 years to transport clients)
- You must have a valid OH drivers license with 4 points or less
- You must have obtained a high school diploma or GED
- You must be able to pass a background check.

Welcome House Inc. is a non-profit agency that provides residential care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We need direct care staff with compassion and integrity to work with our adults. We have immediate part-time and weekend openings throughout Cuyahoga County.
