POSITION: Special Services Special Education Teacher - Resource Room 0.3 FTE

SALARY: Based on the 2025 - 2026 Teacher Salary Schedule
QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
*Minimum of Bachelors Degree
*Ability to supervise and instruct para-educators or willingness to learn
*Ability to design and implement standards-based IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans
*Willing to participate in functional behavioral assessments
*Successful experience with a co-teaching model or commitment to participate in training
*Experience or demonstrated knowledge of implementing multi-tiered interventions for academics behavior and social skills
*Knowledge of Balanced Literacy or willingness to learn
*Willingness to share with grade level partners to meet districts improvement plan
*Willingness to collaborate and work as defined by the school improvement plan
*Training and/or experience in Guided Language Acquisition Design or attend GLAD training
*Ability to design specially designed instruction for students with a range of disabilities to access general education curriculum
*Willingness to participate in professional learning communities as determined by the building
QUALIFICATIONSDESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)
*Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
*Previous experience in working with students with a variety of disabilities
*Previous classroom teaching experience
*Computer knowledge and literacy
