SEND Classroom Assistant Hounslow September 2025 Start
Location: Hounslow West London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025
Are you a graduate eager to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a secondary school environment
A welcoming secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a SEND Classroom Assistant to provide crucial in-class support for students with a range of SEND needs including autism ADHD and speech and language difficulties. This SEND Classroom Assistant role is ideal for graduates considering careers in special education speech therapy or educational psychology.
As a SEND Classroom Assistant you will support pupils individually and in small groups assist teachers with lesson adaptations and help implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons and around the school
- Helping to adapt learning materials and classroom environments
- Assisting with sensory regulation and communication strategies
- Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress alongside the SENCo
Were looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in Psychology Education or a related subject
- Strong communication skills and patience
- An interest in inclusive education and SEND
- Commitment to the full academic year
This SEND Classroom Assistant role in Hounslow offers a valuable opportunity for graduates to build experience and deepen their understanding of SEND in a busy secondary setting.
Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees even with a UK Masters. Sponsorship is not available so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
