Amazon Devices is seeking a talented attorney for a Corporate Counsel position with our legal team to be based in the Sunnyvale office. This attorney will partner with legal and our business clients and advise on complex legal issues support new product launches provide guidance on regulatory and compliance issues lead strategic transactions and support Amazons mission to be Earths most customer-centric company.

In this role you will be: serving as lead counsel and directly advising business clients; providing ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of areas including product development hardware compliance product safety and sustainability. You will also structure draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements; advise on issues that arise in existing commercial relationships; and build processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic pragmatic enjoy being challenged and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - 5 years of legal experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills - Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines - A mix of law firm and in-house experience preferably in technology hardware product compliance or sustainability - Experience with commercial and technology transactions
