Key Responsibilities

As the Bookkeeper you will support the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate and timely financial records. Your responsibilities will include:

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping:
o Record and reconcile daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable bank transactions and payroll entries.
o Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date for internal reporting and decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:
o Prepare monthly financial reports cash flow statements and budget forecasts.
o Assist with financial reviews and collaborate with senior management to interpret data and support strategic planning.

Compliance & Documentation:
o Maintain organized records and documentation to ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
o Liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed providing necessary records and support during audits or year-end processes.

Process Improvement & Support:
o Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiency.
o Support cross-functional teams by providing timely financial insights and administrative assistance when necessary.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:
o A diploma or certificate in Accounting Bookkeeping or a related field is preferred.
o 35 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience preferably in a small to mid-sized organization.

Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in QuickBooks Sage or similar accounting software.
o Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Key Competencies:
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
o A proactive self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
