Administrative/Medical Director Permanent Role - Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: Full-Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
Key Responsibilities: Program Vision and Mission
- Ensure the programs vision and mission for patient care education and research are achieved.
Leadership and Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with leadership teams across BUMC PCCSM DOM and Thoracic Surgery
- Establish program goals aligned with BS&W BUMC and TAMU COM
- Lead long-range strategic planning for growth and development
Clinical Oversight
- Ensure patient care meets or exceeds regulatory accreditation and quality standards
- Manage the clinical team protocols and outcomes
- Oversee medical aspects of patient care and safety
Program Development
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance quality of care
- Identify opportunities for growth and interdepartmental collaboration
- Support the programs outreach efforts
Quality Improvement
- Monitor and achieve quality standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives
- Prepare for regulatory or accreditation surveys
- Support data analysis for research and compliance
Research and Education
- Promote research and education in lung transplantation
- Manage training programs for staff and trainees
- Share research findings with stakeholders
- Introduce educational protocols for transplant care
Service
- Represent the program in relevant committees
- Mentor junior faculty and support their research
- Provide guidance for transplant coordinators and providers

Qualifications: - M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
- Able to obtain a license to practice medicine in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of lung transplantation experience including management.
- Graduate of a fellowship or comparable training in Transplant Pulmonology.
- Meets Organ Procurement and Transplant Network Primary Physician criteria.
