Radiology/MRI Tech Permanent Role - Location: Austin TX 78735
- Shift: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform MRI procedures per protocol in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain imaging production quality following department standards and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
- Identify patient service needs confirm exam orders and establish rapport with patients and families.
- Explain procedures clearly and ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Assess the patients ability to tolerate the exam prepare the patient position them correctly and adjust equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety infection-control and radiation policies to protect patients and staff.
- Use proper sterile technique for invasive procedures and maintain strict hand hygiene.
- Maintain equipment and the work area in a clean and functional state reporting any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment function.
- Manage supplies inventory and restock as necessary.
- Screen individuals entering the MRI department for safety in accordance with policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation including requisitions patient history pregnancy status consent forms and shielding precautions.
- Store medical imaging records properly and in accordance with policy for timely interpretation.

Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required.
- Certification/Licensure:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR)-Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- OR ARRT-R (Radiography).
- OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
