Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion they need a PROCUREMENT & COST ANALYST MANAGER.
Job Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the procurement performance of projects ensuring the timely cost-effective and compliant acquisition of goods materials and services. The role supports consistent procurement operations that align with project delivery goals while upholding transparency accountability and adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and monitor project-specific procurement plans.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions quotations and purchase orders.
- Ensure procurement requests are fulfilled on time and in line with project schedules.
- Maintain up-to-date records of procurement transactions and supplier information.
- Collaborate with Finance on cost estimation budgeting variance tracking and forecasting..
- Ensure financial discipline is maintained across procurement and project expenditure activities.
- Identify and pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors; maintain an
- up-to-date vendor database..
- Obtain quotes and evaluate supplier capabilities based on quality pricing and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and documentation.
- Assist in the development of tender documents (RFQs RFPs ITTs).
- Support bid evaluation processes and documentation
- Assist in drafting and reviewing procurement agreements in coordination with Legal and Compliance.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies ethical standards and project governance.
- Ensure procurement records are audit-ready and aligned with compliance standard
- Escalate procurement risks and irregularities promptly.
- Provide regular updates on procurement status delivery timelines and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors Project Engineers Finance and Legal to align procurement efforts.
- Provide procurement inputs into project progress meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain Business Administration or related field.
- At least 5-7 years of relevant procurement experience ideally in construction or engineering projects.
- Understanding of construction materials vendor management and procurement documentation.
- Familiarity with Nigerian public and private sector procurement procedures is a plus.
- Experience or certification in Quantity Surveying is an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of finance audit and risk management principles
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (e.g. SAP Oracle or similar)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good negotiation and vendor engagement skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment Integrity and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
