Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the application of crop nutrients and crop protection products as well as the maintenance of custom application vehicles and equipment. This is a high-level position and you can expect a generous compensation package.
Job Duties
- Use math skills to calculate chemical mixes per blend sheet specifications and ensure proper calibration of fertilizer and spraying equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers employees supervisors and suppliers.
- Assist with daily operations at locations which may include receiving loading and delivering products along with treating seed.
- Manage employees.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree. Post-secondary schooling is desirable. Experience may be substituted for education.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsement.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs handle exposure to weather conditions and work extended seasonal hours.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification.
- Previous experience operating and servicing farm machinery.
- Farming background or experience with the application of crop protection products preferred.
