Single point of accountability for all apprentice and technician related training compliance and development across the Mobile Maintenance department.
Safety
- Ensures personal and team compliance with all company HSE requirements & policies including Fitness for Work.
- Completes any HSE tasks only if the hazards and any potential consequences are understood and any corrections are firstly agreed by the relevant Supervisor.
People
- Works constructively within a diverse group of people.
- Mentors all personnel within the Mobile Maintenance department.
- Delivers consistently on commitments and takes accountability for the apprentice and technician development.
- Supervises Maintenance Trainer to ensure training objectives and productive outcomes for the department.
- Takes a genuine interest in the development of apprentices and technicians.
Production
- Department apprentice master single point of accountability for ensuring all apprentice developmental needs and goals are being met.
- Co-ordinates all apprentice offsite technical training
- Communication and coordinating of training with the respective superintendents and planning team.
- Co-ordinates so not to impact the business all Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical training.
- Co-ordinates all maintenance safety and refresher training.
- Provides maintenance Safe Operating Procedure (SOP) training.
- Develops manages and communicates the maintenance Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and training matrix.
- Assist with the implementation of the Maintenance Transformation program.
Cost
- Actively seeks cost reduction opportunities and identifies & reports any cost wastage within designated area.
Qualifications :
- Formal training qualifications essential.
- Drivers License essential.
- Maintenance qualifications desirable.
- Work in accordance with MSHA Oceana Safety System Safety Policies and Procedures and Oceana Environment policies and all departmental operating procedures.
- Diagnostic experience and capability with mining equipment (advantageous).
- Demonstrate experience developing and mentoring lesser experienced people.
- 3-4 years relevant work experience within heavy industry.
- Relevant experience in maintaining equipment in mobile fleet mining environment desirable.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- High attention to detail and quality with good time management skills.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.
