Job Description Summary
The student graphic designer in the Dean of Students Office will support Dean of Students staff with creative design needs including (but not limited to) website content invitations brochures stickers budget reports organizational charts flyers etc.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: Maintain the Dean of Students Office website as well as assist other Student Affairs departments with website content and updates. Create invitations brochures and other promotional materials for events. Utilize a foundational understanding of composition typography and color theory as well as a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite to design logos advertising website banners and informational documents for students faculty staff and families. Support the Dean of Students Office and Division of Student Affairs with the development of educational outreach through visual media (posters printed handouts etc.) to communicate to students about topics such as University policies campus resources University events and new campus initiatives. Properly build documents at the appropriate size and color profile for the intended use. An understanding of document resolution cropping packaging InDesign files and using vector images is crucial. Proofread and edit documents prior to final printing or publication including making edits to designs based on feedback from multiple staff members. Design rough drafts and provide regular updates on the status of projects while working with feedback on each draft. Properly save and organize files and upload finished content to a University share drive website campus posting areas and/or social media. Respond to all work-related emails and requests promptly. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience with Canva Adobe Creative Suite InDesign.
