Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdAre you ready to take ownership of a key role that keeps our operations running smoothly and safely Hastings Deering is looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our high-performing team in Mackay.
In this exciting role youll be the driving force behind the maintenance and optimisation of our facilitiesensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Youll work closely with contractors stakeholders and internal teams to maintain the quality safety and efficiency of our assets.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Building strong positive relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits of our business centres logging any defects using our Maintenance Service Centre software.
- Supporting the launch and delivery of new initiatives that maximise the return on our facilities investment.
- Monitoring scheduled maintenance activities to ensure we meet regulatory compliance and keep our people and workplaces safe.
- Coordinating contractors for essential repairs and services with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Minimising unscheduled breakdowns by ensuring proactive maintenance of equipment and plant operations.
- Overseeing contractor performance to ensure work is completed on time on spec and to a high standard.
- Managing and maintaining our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all facilities-related activities.
- Providing feedback and solutions to help us exceed key performance targets in the Facilities team.

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Positive can-do attitude
- Previous experience in a facilities property or maintenance coordination role
- Solid knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) practices and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business
- Ability to manage competing demands
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Trades based background
