Assistant Director of Maintenance
Location: Flexible within the U.S. (regular travel to Miami required if not based there)

A rapidly expanding Part 135 charter and aircraft management operation is hiring an experienced Assistant Director of Maintenance (ADOM) to help lead its Maintenance Department. This senior-level role involves overseeing maintenance control planning parts procurement and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a willingness to get hands-on when needed ensuring operational safety efficiency and compliance.
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department including:
Maintenance Control
Planning and scheduling
Parts procurement and inventory
Serve as primary support to the Director of Maintenance; act as delegate when needed
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal maintenance policies
Supervise and support maintenance planners controllers and administrative staff
Implement systems that improve reliability responsiveness and accountability
Act as liaison across flight operations technicians vendors and leadership
Track MELs deferrals inspections and upcoming due items
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance documentation and reporting
Participate in audits inspections and regulatory filings
Step in during operational challenges to support troubleshooting and recovery
5 years of aircraft maintenance experience including 2 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of FAA Part 135 operations and regulatory standards
Proven ability to lead maintenance control planning and parts functions
Experience with Challenger 300/350 aircraft (required)
Excellent communication organization and decision-making skills
Proficient with systems like CAMP Flightdocs Traxall or similar platforms
Comfortable in fast-paced high-pressure environments
Willing to be available during off-hours to ensure operational continuity
A&P Certificate
Avionics experience
Experience managing floating or mixed aircraft fleets
Prior experience in charter or managed aircraft environments under Part 135
