Job Description
The Tax Services Associate I is responsible for providing motor vehicle and property tax consultation in a call center environment. Duties include professionally communicating with customers via telephone email and live chat in order to answer motor vehicle and property tax questions assisting customers with navigating the Tax Commissioner website creating and maintaining various records preparing correspondence and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Two years of Customer Service Motor vehicle Property Tax or related experience
- Or and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Basic data entry computer and internet navigation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of Call Handling experience in a Call Center environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
Grade
The grade for this position is B21(1).
Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

The 14 departments that make up the executive side are Police Services Fire and Emergency Services Corrections Communications Support Services Financial Services Community Services Human Resources Information Technology Services Law Planning and Development Water Resources Child Advocacy & Juvenile Services and Transportation. Each department is run by a director who is charged with managing operations in a manner which stresses the Countys values.
In addition to the executive side of County government certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett they include the Sheriff Tax Commissioner District Attorney Solicitor Probate Court Judge and Chief Magistrate.
