Description and Qualifications

Summary of Position


Responsible for monitoring program services of Mental Health Board funded agencies in the
areas of development disabilities mental illness and substance abuse; participates in the
planning and budgeting processes of Board and assists in program development and evaluation.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists with regular administrative and fiscal operations of the Board
2. Assists in monitoring Mental Health Aid to Agencys funded providers including
contracted services review and compliance reporting
3. Assists in monitoring Opioid Settlement Funding and Administrative Office of
Illinois Courts and Redeploy Illinois Grants funded providers including contracted
services reviews and compliance reporting
4. Schedules agency site visits and conducts clinical service and compliance audit
annually
5. Manages and is responsible for updating the Boards online reporting system
6. Assists with the collection and analysis of demographic data and trends in mental
health treatment and all contracted mental health services
7. Monitors and recommends advancements in the mental health fields including best
practices state funded initiatives and county partnerships
8. Assists in updating maintaining and publishing current community mental health
resource information for the Board funded agencies and community
9. Attends community meetings as assigned and provides reports
10. Provides presentations to the community to convey information about the funding
priorities and authority of the Mental Health Board and other public education
11. Maintains Mental Health Board website and other social media sites
12. Assists with supervision of graduate interns
13. Assist with conducting special projects and preparing various special reports as
requested
14. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope
of duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science Public Administration or a relevant field with two (2)
years related experience and a valid drivers license are required.

Physical Requirements

Sit for extended periods of time. The employee is required to walk or move up to 200 feet from
primary desk. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop kneel or crouch. The
employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move
up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision and distance vision.
