The Mustang Brand Manager is the brand lead for developing the Mustang Go to Market launch and sustainment plan.



Responsibilities

What youll do

  • Lead in developing the Mustang Go To Market plan and new model product launches
  • Voice of Customer Brand lead for cross functional teams (noted below)
  • Provide market feedback to vehicle programs regarding mix/rates pricing and cost reduction opportunities
  • Subject matter expert on the customer competitive set the segment and marketplace dynamics
  • Collaborate with Customer Ownership & Retention Engagement Mgr on development and delivery of Mustang Ownership Experiences
  • Lead resource to the field marketing communications media communications and variable marketing teams
  • Provide input and direction to the monthly production program sales and share process
  • Validate all vehicle communications (e.g. order guide brochure website)
  • Collaborate on model year price strategy and market equation development with the finance team
  • Actively partner with Retail Marketing to set and adjust variable marketing programs to achieve sales & share object.
  • Lead Mustang inventory analysis complexity reduction and revenue optimization processes
  • Lead for dealer training strategy partnering with Retail Education & Training
  • Respected stakeholder within critical groups including:

Marketing & Media Comms Retail Mrktg & FMCC Field Operations Market Areas / Dealers

Finance Auto Show Team BCA / Events Team Ford Performance & Racing

Product Marketing Education & Training Global Licensing Market Rep

General Mgt team Product Development Vehicle Engineering Design / C&M



Qualifications

Youll have

  • Bachelors degree in marketing Business Administration or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in brand management product marketing or automotive marketing
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies and product launch planning
  • Proven ability to act as the voice of the customer and translate customer insights into business strategies
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales marketing product development and finance teams
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market data to inform decisions on pricing mix/rates and cost optimization
  • Familiarity with vehicle communications materials (e.g. brochures order guides digital assets)

Even better you may have

  • Proficient in data mining and analysis (e.g. JD Power PolkMarket Research)
  • Superb technical skills including Excel Word and Power Point
  • Outstanding written & verbal presentation skills required for external / media & Senior Management interaction
  • Ability to simplify complex issues develop compelling point of view persuasively make case for change drive action
  • Overall business acumen and ability to develop innovative strategic and tactical actions
  • Field experience in Sales or Service preferred
