The Director Oversees the Operating Room PACU and Pre-op and manages a highly specialized technical function / team. Has significant responsibility to achieve broadly stated goals through subordinate managers. Determines objectives directs programs develops strategies and policies manages human financial and physical resources and functions with a high degree of autonomy. Proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets. Determines strategies for a program with organization-wide impact.
Functional areas of oversight include: St. Francis Hospital Operating Room Pre-op and PACU. Ensures the quality of Perioperative patient care in the Operating Room and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Manages staff involved in providing clinical patient care serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Responsible for administration and management of personnel fiscal and material resources on a 24-hour basis.
Designs and oversees nursing and administrative operations in large and/or multiple patient care areas. Accountable for the overall administrative planning and coordination of the staffing fiscal and material resources. Assists with the development and implementation of new programs and policies. Direct reports are typically supervisors and clinical staff. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
The estimated salary range for this position is $250000- $300000 (Annual Rate).
