Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Labor and Delivery to lead our Womens Services department. This individual will serve as a key member of the administrative team ensuring the delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered care within Labor & Delivery while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead by example to promote a culture of excellence in maternal and neonatal care
Supervise mentor and delegate effectively to ensure team performance and development
Ensure department functions within budget and resource constraints
Maintain compliance with all state federal and Joint Commission standards
Participate in organizational strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Serve as a trusted liaison between nursing staff physicians patients and administration
Ensure readiness and responsiveness in emergency or crisis situations
Maintain safe working conditions and uphold hospital standards for hygiene and patient care
Moderate physical effort: lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs occasional patient transport
Prolonged standing and walking
Occasional reaching bending kneeling and crouching
Exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids
Exposure to emergency and high-stress situations
Contact with a wide range of patient conditions
Subject to unpredictable events and emotional intensity of patient care
Judgment and action may directly impact patient outcomes
Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
Licensure: Active RN License in the state of California Required
Certifications: Current CPR certification Required
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of clinical RN experience in Labor and Delivery
Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience at manager or director level
