Job Description
Are you dependable detail-oriented and ready to work in a dynamic environment Were looking for a Facilities Maintenance Worker to join a leading research institute.
This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys physical hands-on work and is looking to gain exposure in lab and safety operationswith no prior experience required (training provided!).
Job Summary
This position supports general lab operations safety compliance and facility upkeep. Responsibilities include sample handling errand support minor facility maintenance and assistance with safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Organize and maintain fuel sample storage and handle proper disposal procedures.
Drive an Institute vehicle for local errands including pickup and delivery of samples and laboratory equipment on or off campus.
Support facility maintenance tasks such as cleaning sidewalks emptying recycling bins and clearing the back dock.
Assist the Safety Point of Contact with routine safety tasks including cleaning eyewash stations relocating chemical drums (empty or full) and responding to minor chemical spills.
Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Requires a valid drivers license.
