Job Description

Facilities Custodian Professional

Location: Birmingham AL

Contract- 6 Months

Client- Alabama Power

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Facilities Custodian Professional to maintain a clean orderly and safe environment across our buildings and grounds. This role involves a variety of janitorial minor maintenance and groundskeeping duties contributing to the overall functionality and appearance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing and waxing as needed

  • Empty and clean trash receptacles; collect and sort recyclables

  • Clean sanitize and restock supplies in restrooms

  • Service and maintain custodial equipment

  • Perform minor repairs to buildings furniture and equipment

  • Identify and report safety sanitary and fire hazards

  • Lock/unlock doors windows and gates as needed

  • Keep grounds areas clean and orderly

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Previous custodial or groundskeeping experience preferred

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Physically able to bend squat kneel twist and climb ladders

  • Familiar with custodial tools techniques materials and equipment care

  • Comfortable working from heights or elevated surfaces when needed
