About the Role
Sime Industrial is seeking a passionate Occupational Safety Officer to join our Group Safety function on a permanent fulltime time position in Acacia Ridge QLD.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to assist the Health Team and Functions to provide health initiatives and programs across the Sime business units.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager - Health in this position you will:
- Support the implementation of the Sime Health Strategy across business units.
- Coordinate the company-wide health calendar and promote key health initiatives.
- Assist with the development and communication of health-related policies procedures and documentation.
- Manage pre-employment medicals statutory health checks and occupational health monitoring while maintaining confidentiality in line with legislative requirements.
- Support data collection and reporting for ongoing health initiatives and outcomes.
- Liaise with vendors to monitor service delivery and ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Reconcile health-related accounts and assist with budgeting and cost tracking.
- Provide administrative support to the Health and Response team including medical appointment coordination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records and documentation.

About You
We are looking for a proactive and people-focused individual who is passionate about contributing to a healthy and safe work environment. To be successful in this role you will ideally bring:
- Tertiary education in a health-related field (completed or in progress) is desirable though not essential.
- A sound understanding of OH&S principles compliance and workplace health practices.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Previous experience in employee health management and familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements (highly desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Outlook PowerPoint) and experience using platforms such as Solv Canva and AX will be highly regarded.
