JOB DESCRIPTION: Constructs troubleshoots calibrates adjusts tests and maintains equipment components devices or systems Works from documentation written or verbal instructions schematics rough sketches diagrams layouts and plans often requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles. Responsibilities include wiring harnesses crimping cable assemblies and soldering connectors to IPC-620 standards. Recommends modifications to engineering designs as necessary. May assist in the electrical testing of wiring harnesses. Employee is normally assigned in the cable manufacturing area. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.) SCOPE: Receives detailed instructions on all work. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. IMPACT: Contributions are usually limited to assignment related activities. LIAISON: Interacts daily with supervisor and peer groups. Works is closely with supervisor. Follows specific outline and detailed procedures. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: On the job training. Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience is needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances. TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and less than 1 year of related experience. Direct experience with ADNS Work station and DVSS project.
