Description:
The Forest Resources Inventory Information Management Solution (FRI IMS) streamlines the acquisition processing interpretation management and sharing of extensive data. This data suite includes interconnected high-resolution digital aerial imagery digital elevation data field-sampled data geographic information and additional forest information from various sources.

The FRI IMS Enhancement project aims to further improve the functionality usability and performance of FRI IMS by incorporating the following features:
- A centralized data storage system utilizing Databricks data lake and Azure Storage Account.
- Data exchange channels via a public-facing web application.
- A Data Processing and Data Scientist Platform that supports data acquisition processing and analysis using Databricks on the Azure cloud.
Responsibilities: and nbsp;
- Collaborate with product managers product owners and technical teams to develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans. and nbsp;
- Apply a strong understanding of automated and manual testing practices to support the development of test scripts test cases and test scenarios in IST UAT and PROD architectures. and nbsp;
- Assist with planning and creating test data for each test phase. and nbsp;
- Set up Test Plans Suites and Cases in Azure DevOps and continuously integrate automated test scripts. and nbsp;
- Lead automation testing and nbsp;
- Execute various types of testing including integration functional regression unit load performance and accessibility testing. and nbsp;
- Plan and organize testing efforts for both front-end including user-interface and back-end application components/environments. and nbsp;
- Regularly communicate test results through reports and team stand-up (need to be able to speak about the results as well to both technical and non-technical team members) summarizing test completion and defects found. and nbsp;
- Implement project technical testing strategies and methodologies including testing of integration points interfaces and non-functional requirements (e.g. fail-over response times data integrity security). and nbsp;
- Evaluate test results against acceptance criteria to determine successful completion of the incremental work assigned .Provide weekly reports confirming the status of assigned tasks and nbsp;
- Define and measure acceptance criteria for test cases. and nbsp;
- Record all defects/issues in defect reporting tools and Azure DevOps including detailed descriptions screenshots and steps to reproduce. and nbsp;
- Participate in elicitation and business requirement workshop sessions reviews sessions and walkthrough meetings. and nbsp;
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the agile/iterative solution development lifecycle. and nbsp;
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing. and nbsp;
- Support clients with user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. and nbsp;
- Create traceability matrices and strategies to ensure testing outcomes align with business requirements. coordinate review meetings with business analysts and stakeholders. and nbsp;

Knowledge Transfer Requirements: and nbsp;
- and nbsp;Conduct ongoing knowledge transfer throughout the assignment via regular meetings touchpoints and working sessions with LRC and Business Unit staff. and nbsp;
- Transfer all design development artifacts and source code including all relevant and complete documentation to the ministrys designated repositories. and nbsp;
- Schedule dedicated knowledge transfer sessions to ensure completeness and allow LRC staff to ask for clarifications or follow-up questions. and nbsp;

- Experience in testing Commercial off-the-Shelf Software (COTS/SaaS solutions). and nbsp;
- Working knowledge of SharePoint .NET Web Web Services JavaScript Python RStudio data visualization geospatial data tools and related scripting technologies for automation. and nbsp;
- Knowledge and experience with test tools and methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Iterative). and nbsp;
- Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle. and nbsp;
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as organizational creativity perseverance verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. and nbsp;
- Experience with functional and non-functional product cycle testing. and nbsp;
- Test case and test scenario design and review experience (from business requirements). and nbsp;

- 3 years of experience developing test cases/scripts and test data ensuring all business requirements are met by creating a traceability matrix or equivalent 3 years of experience developing technical testing strategies/plans. and nbsp;
- 3 years of experience testing non-functional requirements (e.g. fail-over response times data integrity security). and nbsp;
- 3 years of experience executing various types of testing including: and nbsp;
