Summary:
-
Develop and manage requirements and models for current and next-generation Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) capabilities using MBSE tools and SysML-based design.
-
Create architectural views such as IBDs BDDs Use Cases and Functional Diagrams to support system design and development.
-
Collaborate with HWIL engineers and system product owners to ensure MBSE models remain current accurate and aligned with program needs.
-
Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models detailed drawings and engineering work product releases.
-
Review requirements from multiple sources to ensure proper flow-down into detailed design.
-
Coordinate with configuration management and manufacturing to meet program requirements and schedules.
-
Contribute to successful program outcomes by releasing accurate error-free and producible engineering designs.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree or higher in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or related field).
-
5 years of professional experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo.
-
5 years of experience defining system functionality including state diagrams and operational modes.
-
Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (e.g. Creo I-DEAS) and model-based product definition.
-
Experience with Cameo SysML-based modeling tools and Open System Architecture (OSA) principles.
-
Familiarity with requirements tracking tools such as DOORS or Cameo.
-
Skilled in requirements generation decomposition and translating system needs into executable architectures.
-
Ability to synthesize and implement system architectures across multiple HWIL systems.
-
Knowledge of systems engineering processes and lifecycle.
-
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures mechanisms materials and analysis.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
-
Experience working with cross-discipline teams to derive and decompose complex requirements.
-
Exposure to digital engineering environments (MBSE digital twin).
-
Background in system-of-systems architecture and model-based design.
-
Experience with operational modeling tools and formal verification processes.
-
Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations (ANSI OSHA AWS) applicable to mechanical and structural systems.
-
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
