JOB TITLE: Systems Integration Test Engineer - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Grand Prairie TX
PAY RATE: $78.80/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance preferred; Interim Secret Clearance required to start.

Summary:

  • Develop and manage requirements and models for current and next-generation Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) capabilities using MBSE tools and SysML-based design.

  • Create architectural views such as IBDs BDDs Use Cases and Functional Diagrams to support system design and development.

  • Collaborate with HWIL engineers and system product owners to ensure MBSE models remain current accurate and aligned with program needs.

  • Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models detailed drawings and engineering work product releases.

  • Review requirements from multiple sources to ensure proper flow-down into detailed design.

  • Coordinate with configuration management and manufacturing to meet program requirements and schedules.

  • Contribute to successful program outcomes by releasing accurate error-free and producible engineering designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or related field).

  • 5 years of professional experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo.

  • 5 years of experience defining system functionality including state diagrams and operational modes.

  • Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (e.g. Creo I-DEAS) and model-based product definition.

  • Experience with Cameo SysML-based modeling tools and Open System Architecture (OSA) principles.

  • Familiarity with requirements tracking tools such as DOORS or Cameo.

  • Skilled in requirements generation decomposition and translating system needs into executable architectures.

  • Ability to synthesize and implement system architectures across multiple HWIL systems.

  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes and lifecycle.

  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures mechanisms materials and analysis.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with cross-discipline teams to derive and decompose complex requirements.

  • Exposure to digital engineering environments (MBSE digital twin).

  • Background in system-of-systems architecture and model-based design.

  • Experience with operational modeling tools and formal verification processes.

  • Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations (ANSI OSHA AWS) applicable to mechanical and structural systems.

  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
