We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations ensuring excellence in service delivery operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of hospitality management and a commitment to upholding the hotel s brand values and standards.
Oversee the daily operations of the hotel including front office housekeeping food & beverage events and guest services.
Lead mentor and motivate department heads and staff to achieve high performance and service excellence.
Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards cleanliness and guest satisfaction across all departments.
Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets financial reporting and cost control measures.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy guest loyalty and revenue growth.
Ensure full compliance with health safety and legal regulations.
Address guest feedback and complaints professionally using insights to continuously improve the guest experience.
Manage relationships with vendors suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective procurement and service delivery.
Utilize hotel management systems efficiently prior experience with Ezee is preferred.
Prepare and present regular performance reports to hotel owners or the management board.
Uphold and promote the hotel s brand mission and values in all areas of operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 6 years proven experience in hotel management or senior operational roles.
Strong leadership people management and team development skills.
Solid knowledge of hotel operations budgeting and revenue management practices.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric approach to service.
Proficient in hotel management software (e.g. Ezee) and Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Effective communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Familiarity with the hospitality industry in Kampala or Uganda is an added advantage.
Proactive approachable and hands-on leadership style.
Strong decision-making and crisis management capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Flexibility to work weekends holidays and extended hours as required by the role.
