Job Description

About the Opportunity:

EMCO Corporation is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) to lead our BI team and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills proven leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of data visualization tools data modeling and business strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of BI analysts and developers to deliver actionable insights and data solutions.
  • Design implement and maintain scalable BI solutions that support cross-functional business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data requirements strategic business priorities and deliver impactful reporting.
  • Develop communicate and enforce data governance standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards reports and self-service analytics tools.
  • Translate business challenges and questions into data analysis and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
  • Ensure data accuracy integrity and consistency across platforms.
  • Monitor performance of BI systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

 


Qualifications :

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in BI analytics or data-related roles with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills including the ability to generously listen and seek to understand business priorities and challenges from different key leadership perspectives
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehouses and data visualization tools (eg. Power BI Tableau)
  • Experience with ETL processes and data modeling techniques.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Azure data platform services (Azure SQL Database Azure Postgres DB Azure Data Factory etc.) an asset
