Tool and Die Maker
Location: Chicago IL 60644
Compensation: Up to $40/hour (Equivalent to $83200 annually)
Schedule: Full-Time Onsite Day Shift

HireNow Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker for a reputable manufacturing company in Chicago IL. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-precision environments and takes pride in producing repairing and maintaining tools dies jigs and fixtures used in mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments

Construct and repair dies tools jigs and fixtures

Interpret complex engineering blueprints drawings and CAD models

Inspect completed parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications

Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and dies to ensure production efficiency

Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Tool and Die apprenticeship program preferred

5 years of hands-on experience in tool and die making
-
Proficiency with CNC manual milling lathes grinders and other machine shop equipment

Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
