Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is a contract opportunity based in our Ariat Headquarters in San Leandro California. This individual in the role would be reporting and supporting the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable.

Youll Make a Difference By

• Analyzing verifying & processing invoices and/or check requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring proper routing coding & approval
• Entering high volume data and timely data for month-end closing
• Managing high volume vendor and GL account reconciliations related to accounts payable
• Running full cycle payment
• Paying vendors in accordance with company policy & vendor terms
• Running audit payment details to ensure accuracy of payments
• Maintaining exceptional relationships with vendors & company personnel
• Preparing & compiling accrual docs at month end for GL reviewing
• Creating good receipts vs Invoice receipt reconciliation
• Creating 1099 reporting requirements at the end of the year
• Reviewing Accounts Payable aging
• Opening deposit reviewing/clearing
• Purchasing price variance review and analysis
• Assisting with management & auditor requests
• Being cross functionally trained within department
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Familiarity in SAP & PO/3-way match
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• SME at problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask effectively while keeping organized
• Ability to reconcile large data
• Proficient in Excel with the ability to sort data and maintain spreadsheets
• Experience in general ledger closer Accounting and Accrual & Prepaid

The hourly range for this position is $30-$35 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical dental and vision insurance options and 401k.
