Job Description
Are you a dedicated and talented culinary professional eager to take the next step in your career Westgate Resorts is looking for a Jr. Sous Chef to support our diverse food and beverage outlets across the resort. As a Junior Sous Chef you will:
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations across various restaurant outlets.
- Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in food preparation cooking and plating.
- Ensure consistency in food quality taste and presentation.
- Maintain a clean organized and efficient workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold best practices and standards.
- Assist in inventory management food rotation and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor and maintain food safety guidelines including temperature controls and sanitation.
- Step in as needed to lead and supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years in professional kitchen preferably in a resort setting.
- A diploma from a certified culinary academy is preferred but not required.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Manager Certification.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining food quality and safety.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic and advanced cooking techniques including grilling sauting and sauce-making.
- Westgate Resorts is a smoke and tobacco-free workplace. Except where prohibited by law applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for positions at Westgate.
- Required to pass a background check drug test and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
