About this opportunity:
The Turnaround Scheduling Lead at Cenovus Energy plays a vital role at our Toledo Refinery. This position oversees all scheduling tasks from development to reporting and benchmarking. You will work closely with Projects and/or Turnaround (TAR) Planning and Contractor Scheduling Resources to guarantee smooth operations. We seek a proactive individual with a strong focus on performance and adept at solving problems.

What youll do:
- Develop maintain and optimize integrated project and TAR schedules using Primavera ensuring alignment with CVE standards and critical path methodology.
- Act as the primary scheduling contact for assigned projects leading planning sessions and coordinating with engineering procurement construction and cost teams.
- Monitor schedule performance track key milestones and ensure alignment with project objectives and KPIs.
- Generate accurate schedule reports and earned value analyses using CVE systems and contractor data to support decision-making.
- Review contractor schedules for accuracy and validate field progress through quantity tracking and performance analysis.
- Manage schedule-related risks changes and uncertainties providing strategic options and recommendations to the project team.
- Maintain scheduling policies tools templates and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and stage-gated processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives support project closeout activities and lead lessons learned efforts.
Who you are:
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 8 years of relevant work experience with demonstrated expertise in project control systems particularly scheduling and planning.
- Proven capability to support multiple projects of various sizes and complexity.
- Strong organization teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency in database applications such as Microsoft Access Maximo TRACK and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated usage of Primavera (P6) and understanding of Earned Value Method (EVM) and Cost Forecasting Methods.
