NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and respected manufacturing business based near Wigton as we recruit for a Purchasing Administrator to join their growing procurement and supply chain team.
The role: This is a great opportunity to join a busy and supportive team at a time of growth. As a Purchasing Administrator youll play a key role in maintaining stock levels placing accurate purchase orders and ensuring smooth coordination with suppliers. Youll also support the wider procurement function through essential administrative tasks and stock control processes. This role offers the chance to develop your skills and grow within a dynamic supply chain environment.
Key responsibilities: Maintain stock levels of key purchased parts to meet ongoing production requirements Generate accurate purchase orders using systems based on demand and forward planning Monitor coordinate and expedite supplier deliveries Track and report on supplier performance to ensure high service standards Accurately receipt all incoming goods and resolve any related account queries Conduct regular stock checks and assist in wider stocktaking activities Provide administrative support to maintain up-to-date and accurate stock records Support continuity of procurement operations during team absence or high workload
Personal criteria: 4 GCSEs or equivalent (preferably including English and Maths) Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Word Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing-related role is desirable Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both internal teams and suppliers A proactive methodical approach to tasks with a willingness to learn
