The DI Financial Controller is responsible for maintaining and uplifting the quality and integrity of financial ledgers registers data and processes within the Digital Insurer (DI) program. Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance Digital Insurer this role involves leveraging financial management governance and data integrity capabilities to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and control across the program.

What youll do:

  • Engage and collaborate across other key PMO functions including resourcing scheduling and contract management.
  • Lead budget planning and forecasting activities.
  • Track expenditure against budget ensuring cost control and monitoring.
  • Identify variances and flag over/under spend.
  • Support financial reporting and accounting functions.
  • Support resource and non-FTE reporting & analysis with quality data and insights.
  • Drive the strategic oversight and governance of financial ledgers registers data and processes ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and financial management principles.
  • Lead the administration and compliance of financial processes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurately captured and maintained.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for financial control acting as a key liaison between various teams and ensuring seamless integration of financial requirements.
  • Collaborate strategically with business-as-usual (BAU) teams and program stakeholders to ensure alignment with both DI and BAU strategies fostering a sense of ownership and accountability across the organisation.
  • Champion new ways of working setting the foundation for future operating models and promoting agility automation and innovation in financial management and digital delivery.
  • Maintain and uplift the quality and integrity of financial ledgers registers data and processes.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting and control across the program.
  • Identify and track risks relevant to financial control ensuring governance and risk management practices are adhered to throughout the initiatives.

What youll Bring:

  • Relevant degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field - Mandatory
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA Desired
  • Financial Services Risk & Compliance industry experience (5 years)
  • Complex Transformation and Project Management exposure and experience (5 years)
