(Junior) Business Controller Benelux

Hello potential future Oatly employee. Its us the original oat drink company the brand that invented oat drink and started in Sweden back 30 or so years ago.

The Role

Were looking for a (Junior) Business Controller for the this role you will work closely with our Head of Finance. As we grow we need someone whos excited about supporting with a variety of finance related-tasks to make sure we are in control of our business and we can grow even more. This role is based in Amsterdam and gives you the perfect chance to flex your finance muscles across a broad range of skills while growing learning and having a little fun along the way. For this role you need to be fluent in Dutch and English.

Heres what the day to day looks like...

• Manage daily credit control activities within the customer-to-cash (C2C) process and build strong relationships to continuously improve ways of working.
• Clear incoming payments on customer accounts and monitor overdue balances.
• Handle customer claims and deductions in close collaboration with the Sales team.
• Support the Sales team with trade spend allocation and related queries.
• Prepare monthly cash forecasts factoring in expected & overdue payments and deductions.
• Collaborate with local teams on spend phasing forecasting and budget variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly accruals including customer distribution and branding costs.
• Act as the link between the local team and the global finance/accounting organisation on administrative matters and work with the IT team to resolve or escalate EDI issues.
• Support audit and SOX control activities.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role you have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role ideally in the fast-paced world of FMCG. You hold an HBO or university degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or something closely related and you know your stuff. Youre basically an Excel wizard (yes formulas are your love language) and you bring a sharp eye for detail along with a solid grasp of accounting principles. You spot the small things that make a big impact and youre not afraid to take initiative. Comfortable in Dutch and English Great because youll need both in this role.
