JOB TITLE: Joint Exercise Senior Military Operations Analyst Task Lead

REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a full-time Joint Exercise Senior Military Operations Analyst Task Leadto support U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) G37 Training Readiness and Exercise Division (G37 TREX). This position is contingent upon contract award. Regular travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations as mission requires.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Provide expertise in planning USSPACECOM USSTRATCOM and USNORTHCOM exercises using Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process
  • Integrate 1st Space Brigade and 100th GMD major training events into Tier 1 exercises
  • Develop Exercise Objectives for approval at USASMDC senior level
  • Assist in developing Training Objectives for training audiences
  • Produce Warning Orders and Operation Orders for exercise execution
  • Input required forces into Joint Training Tool (JTT) as requested forces
  • Develop storylines and events using Joint Master Scenario Events List (JMSEL) tool
  • Execute planned exercises in accordance with CJCSM 3500.03E
  • Control storylines and inject developed MSEL events
  • Input results into JTT Task Proficiency Observations (TPO)
  • Complete Task Performance Evaluations (TPEs) for G37 Division Chief review
  • Coordinate Observer/Controller-Trainer (O/C-T) teams
  • Provide observations on established training objectives
  • Collect Lessons Learned/After Action Review (AAR) comments using Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS)
  • Facilitate AARs for USSPACECOM USSTRATCOM USNORTHCOM and USASMDC
  • Support Combatant Command-level Facilitated After Action Reviews (FAARs) and exercise Hotwashes
  • Provide written comments to senior USASMDC leadership
  • Develop correction plans for identified lessons learned
  • Input key events into G3 Exercise Branch calendar
  • Provide Quad charts Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) and input to G37 products

SUPERVISION: This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of comprehending personnel space management and interior design to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge skill and ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least a Bachelors Degree is required and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Non-Commissioned Officer Education (NCOEs) battle staff or Officer Education System (OES) preferred
  • 5 years as field grade officer/senior NCO (MSG/SGM) or civilian equivalent
  • Brigade or above level staff experience including: Orders production Tier 1 level exercise planning and military staff process
  • Professional experience in Army writing briefing and presentations
  • Space support to operations
  • Exercise planning and execution
  • Demonstrated understanding of joint military operations and command structures
  • Complete Government-mandated training includes: Operational Security (OPSEC) Security Awareness Antiterrorism/Force Protection and Information Assurance Training

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read analyze and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
