The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a dependable detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. They bring a strong foundation in accounting or finance enjoy working with spreadsheets and systems and take pride in delivering accurate timely work. This individual communicates clearly maintains confidentiality and takes initiative to resolve issues while following established procedures.
They are comfortable juggling multiple prioritieswhether its reviewing accounts payable reviewing purchase orders reconciling expenditures or assisting internal departments with finance-related needs. A commitment to excellent customer service and a positive attitude are key to success in this role.
They are also someone who:
Next you will process the Accounts Payable batches and reach out to multiple departments for clarifications to questions you may have. After questions have been answered you will review that purchase orders have enough funds to cover the expenditure.
Usually on Thursdays you will submit the batch for approval to the Accounting Division Manager. When the Accounting Division Manager approves the batch you will print checks and then post the batch to the ERP system.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in performing a variety of financial budget and accounting operations statistical purchasing recordkeeping or cashiering duties; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Accounting Technicians I (FLEX) may be considered for level II once they have been employed for 12 to 24 months and demonstrate the full range of responsibilities and experience to meet the higher position.
Licenses Certifications and Equipment:
A valid State drivers license is required.
